Laval, Quebec – U2 is rehearsing for the E&I Tour in the Bell Place arena, Laval, Quebec, but don’t expect their crew to confirm that. Local media including CBC and Radio-Canada are reporting on an unusual amount of secrecy surrounding the events, including Non-Disclosure agreements with crew, plain white trucks being used to unload band equipment, a ban on photographs inside the arena and no official confirmation that the band is even there from U2 or the owners of the Bell Place Arena. Crew members are talking to Canadian media off the record, but won’t go on the record.
This is despite multiple confirmations from local fans that the band has been rehearsing at loud volume inside the arena, and clues from U2 on social media that they are there. Rolling Stone reported last month that U2 would use Augmented Reality on the E&I Tour, which may explain the ban on photography inside the arena.
The E&I Tour kicks off in Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA on May 2nd.
